What "free founding access" really means
We'd rather over-explain than surprise you. Here's the whole deal, in plain words:
- You sign up free — no credit card. There is no payment step during the founding phase. Nothing to enter, nothing to be charged.
- You keep full access while we grow. Free access lasts until we reach 5,000 founding members or December 31, 2026 — whichever comes later. If the date comes first, we extend a month at a time until we hit the goal.
- Your rate is locked in forever. When we switch to paid, founding members keep $3/month or $30/year — permanently. It never goes up for you.
- You choose when we switch. We'll give you notice before we start charging. Then it's your call: continue at your locked-in rate, or leave — no hard feelings.
- Verification is a queue. A real human reviews every video, so approval can take up to 72 hours.
- No card data ever touches UBeLong. When payments do begin, they're handled securely by Stripe.

Do I really not need a credit card?
Correct. Right now UBeLong is in its founding phase, so there is no payment step at all. You sign up, get verified, and you're in — no card, no charge. We'll only start charging once we've built a big enough community, and you'll get plenty of notice before that happens.
When will you start charging, and what will it cost?
We start charging once we reach 5,000 founding members — or, if that takes longer, after December 31, 2026 (and we'll extend month by month until we get there). When we do, your rate is locked in forever at $3/month or $30/year. It will never go up for founding members.
What happens when you switch to charging?
You'll get a heads-up first. Then it's your choice: keep your membership at your locked-in founding rate, or leave — no hard feelings, no tricks. Nothing is charged without you choosing to continue.
Is there a limit on how many people get free access?
No cap. Everyone who joins during the founding phase gets free access — we want as many people as possible to try UBeLong and see if it feels like home. The only limit is the member goal and the date, whichever comes last.
Do I have to be out to join?
No. UBeLong has a discreet mode for members who aren't out yet — you can stay faceless publicly while being verified privately. You belong here too, and your privacy is protected.
How does verification work?
You record a short video so a real human (Logan, the founder) can confirm you match your photos. The video is never stored or shared. Once you're approved, you get a Verified badge and full access. Verification is reviewed in a queue and can take up to 72 hours.
Can I leave anytime?
Yes — anytime, no hoops. And since you never add a card during founding access, leaving simply means not continuing when we switch to paid. You're never charged for anything you didn't choose.
