This was never just a dating app.
UBeLong is a not-for-profit social enterprise. We cover our costs — the bills, our team, and a founder salary capped at $75,000 — and then every remaining dollar goes to the Million Hearts March and to the LGBTQ+ nonprofits our members choose. We're not here to profit off loneliness. We're here to end it.
A community that gives back more than it takes.
Most platforms extract. You pay, you scroll, and the money disappears into a shareholder's pocket. UBeLong was built the other way around — a place where belonging is the product, and the surplus belongs to the community that created it.
You join
One verified membership — $3/month or $30/year — unlocks every Circle, every event, and every tool. Founding members keep that rate forever.
We cover our costs
Bills, payroll, and a founder salary capped at $75,000 — never more. We pay the people who run UBeLong fairly, and that's it.
The rest goes out
Every remaining dollar goes to the Million Hearts March and to the LGBTQ+ nonprofits our members choose. Nothing is kept beyond what it takes to run the place.
Our nonprofit arm.
Million Hearts March is a separate organization — UBeLong's nonprofit arm — pursuing 501(c)(3) status. Its mission is simple and enormous: to build the safest places in America for LGBTQ+ people to gather, belong, and simply be safe.
UBeLong is not the entity seeking 501(c)(3) — Million Hearts March is. UBeLong is a not-for-profit company that funds it. That separation keeps the charity independent and the money honest: the nonprofit answers to its mission, not to a business.
You decide where your dollar goes.
Every member can direct a slice of their membership to a cause they believe in. Pick any organization from our Mutual Aid & Resources directory — the Trevor Project, a local shelter, a trans support network — or let it all go to the Million Hearts March. If you don't choose, the March is the default.
You set this once, from your profile, and change it anytime. It's your membership — it should do some good.
Belong somewhere that belongs to you.
Join a verified, human-moderated community built for LGBTQ+ adults — where the money you spend builds safety and belonging for everyone, not a profit for someone else.
